The last couple of months have been very difficult and trying for our church, our community, and our nation. I am very thankful that God has watched over us during this Covid-19 Pandemic. I am also very grateful for your patience during this time. None of us have ever led a church through a global pandemic before so there have definitely been some obstacles to overcome.
Over the last several weeks we have been very blessed to be able to be able to offer church services through Facebook and on YouTube. These formats have served us well and will continue to be a regular part of how we do church at FSBC. However, I am very pleased to announce that we will be going back to in person services in June with the following guidelines in place.
In Christ,

Over the last several weeks we have been very blessed to be able to be able to offer church services through Facebook and on YouTube. These formats have served us well and will continue to be a regular part of how we do church at FSBC. However, I am very pleased to announce that we will be going back to in person services in June with the following guidelines in place.
- We are asking anyone who may be symptomatic to refrain from joining us for services.
- We will be conducting temperature checks for everyone as they come in the doors.
- We will maintain social distancing of at least 6 feet.
- This means we will not be doing handshaking, we will not be passing a plate to collect offering, for right now there will be no Sunday School, no communion, no church dinners, and no nursery on Sunday mornings.
- We will utilize every other pew, and a volunteer will show you to your seat each service.
- We will only be able to accommodate a certain number in the main auditorium and when that number has been reached we will live stream the service to the fellowship hall as an overflow room.
- We will have masks available for guests at each service.
- We will also utilize at least two sanitation stations throughout the building.
- We understand that not everyone will join us back as we begin to reopen. Our online services will continue on Facebook and YouTube each week for those who feel safer attending church online.
- Our first regular Sunday Morning service will be Sunday, June 7th at 11am. We will begin temperature checks and seating that morning at 10:30am.
- Our Kings Kidz ministry will start back on Wednesday, June 3rd. They will follow the same guidelines as the rest of the church. We will also be bringing back the kids on alternate weeks.
- Wednesday, June 3rd will be Cloe Caldwell’s class and Jessica Brown’s class only. Wednesday June 10th will be Teresa Massie’s class and Brian Hayton’s class. We will alternate the weeks throughout the month of June to be able to accommodate the kids and to maintain appropriate social distancing guidelines.
- We will also be having a zoom meeting for the kids on Wednesday, May 20th and Wednesday, May 27th. The link for the meetings will be sent to the families and will be posted on Facebook.
In Christ,
Pastor Brian
